Official Club Platinum Membership Kit are now being
shipped to Ty direct- merchant retailers. The suggested
retail price is $20. The Platinum membership kit far
exceeds the gold kit in purchasing value. It includes Clubby
II, the platinum
Teddy made of an
exclusive material dedicated solely to this membership
edition. Additionally, the kit includes three platinum
collector's cards, an original 9 coin, Beanie Baby Checklist,
BBOC newsletter, membership card, and membership certificate.
All packed inside a clear, lunch box style, zippered carrying
case.
The BBOC Bear, "Clubby II" is
made from an exclusive new fabric made especially for Ty
and the BBOC. It is similar in texture to "Kicks" the
soccer Teddy

There are only three cards in the one pack that is
included in the kit. There are a total of 15 different PlatinumMembership
Collector's Cards. The front of the cards are blue and say
"Platinum Edition Collector's Cards." On the back of the
cards is a photo of a Beanie Baby. Some of the cards say
"LIMITED EDITION." The following Beanies are included in
this set: 1999 Signature Bear, Beak, Bessie, Bronty,
Clubby, Echo, Goldie, Jabber, Legs, Peanut (royal blue),
Millennium, Princess, Quackers (with wings), Rex, and
Steg are included in this
set.
One collectable coin of the Original Nine
Beanies is included in the kit. Original 9 coins are: Cubbie, Patti,
Chocolate, Splash, Flash, Legs, Spot, Pinchers and Squealer
This full-color 5 1/2" high
by 7" wide official Newsletter recaps 1998 and details what is in
store for 1999. (Photos of Clubby II do not appear anywhere in
this newsletter.) According to the newsletter, two more
newsletters will be
published, one in July and the other in November, 1999. These
newsletters will be available to only gold or platinum membership
card holders at retail stores selling the BBOC Kits. The
newsletter is also expected to be published on the BBOC website
located at http://www.beaniebaby/ ( You must
have your membership card number to log on to the site)
This full-color 5 1/2" high by 7" wide
pocket checklist is in a compact twenty-page book form.
On
each page, 24 Beanies are pictured with their style number,
birthdate and issue date. Ty has included the #1 Bear and the
Billionaire Bear in this checklist. Buthas not included any of the
Beanie Babies announced in April or Clubby II, Doodle, Brownie or
Punchers.

A
platinum-coated membership card is also included in this kit.
On the front of the card is a 13 digit number. This number is
necessary to participate in the BBOC web site and
for any future Platinum Membership
offers.

Certificate
A silver embossed
certificate features photos of Clubby the bear on the top left
corner and the 1999 Signature bear next to the printed autograph of
"Ty Warner" on the bottom right corner. Unfortunately, the
Platinum Member will have to enter their own name on the member
line. In the Gold Membership kit this certificate was sent to the
recipient with their name printed directly by CYRK.
